I have been tasked to make a flat network across our data centers (East coast to West coast) I understand this is a bad ideal. I have two separate EVPL L2 links with two separate ISPs. In the name of redundancy I would like to create a port-channel with these. I am sure the latency with the links will very because of the long distance. So I have a few questions.
How much latency is too much? I know it depends of service but I am looking for a general rule thumb.
Is there any benefit of changing these port-channel L2 links to L3 and dong VXLAN? It seems to me that with a port-channel L3 using VXLAN would have the same issue?
