Hi,
I have a network (a MAN) with different sites, connecting via EIGRP.
The routers are connected like that: R1 - R2 - R3 - R4
The central site is R1
The backup site is R4
For backuping the servers of the central site, we decided to use the same VLANs on R1 and R4.
For that, we use a Layer 2 GEC connecting directly R1 to R4.
Then, on the LANs, we use HSRP.
This solution works fine.
The problem is when the Layer 2 GEC (R1 - R4) is down.
The HSRP is active on R1 AND R4.
Is there a solution for that R1 keeps active hsrp and R4 standby hsrp?
I tried to configure a peering DLSW betwen R1 and R4, but it doesn't work.
Thanks for your help
