1. That's an old IOS.
2. If you are going to upgrade the IOS, upgrade the ROMmon Bootstrap to 12.4(13)T6. This will give you an additional option (among other things) to boot from USB.
3. Format the CF using the router and copy the IOS into it using the traditional method or via a card reader.

Hi leolaohoo
The router in which i am working is operative, I try to copy a "ios" and when it went to finish, gave me the message "that had insufficient space". I try to copy a ios and then when you run the command "show flash," tells me "Not files on device", The router is working now. when I run "dir" tells me 0 bytes free. If i restart the router i have a problem?, What i cand do?

Try another CF (no more than 4 Gb).
Insert the CF into the slot and format using the router. The command is "format flash:". This should take about 5 - 10 seconds.
Once this is complete, copy the router's IOS into CF either using CLI or using a multi-card reader.
Let's take it from there. I'm trying to determine where the fault could be. It could be a faulty CF reader inside the router, the CF itself or an IOS bug.

it is an Bug, we have the same problem. if you change the CF Card with the new IOS, reload the router! so you are on the save side.
