Problem with IS-IS and OSPFv3 inter-domain

Hi,

I'm having some problems with linking 3 domains. One is IS-IS and the others are OSPFv3. Everything is in IPv6.

Everything works fine except the inter-domain.

I guess that the problem is the redistribute, but I can't figure out why and what can I do to solve it.

Here is the configuration of the ASBR_Backbone_2, the other one is almost the same, there are just the adresses that change:

ipv6 unicast-routing
!
username R_Area3_R1 password 0 Cisco12345
!
interface FastEthernet0/0
no ip address
duplex auto
speed auto
ipv6 address 2002:AAAA:BBBB:0:4000::1/68
ipv6 enable
ipv6 ospf 100 area 0
!
interface Serial0/3/0
no ip address
encapsulation ppp
ipv6 address 2002:AAAA:BBBB:0:D000::7/127
ipv6 enable
ipv6 router isis
ppp authentication chap
!
router isis
net 49.0006.1921.6800.6001.00
is-type level-2-only
redistribute ospf 100 level-1-2
!
ip forward-protocol nd
!
ipv6 router ospf 100
router-id 122.0.12.1
log-adjacency-changes
redistribute isis level-1-2
!
end

Thanks

Hi

Try configuring the following commands for IS-IS:

metric-style wide [transition] [level-1 | level-2 | level-1-2
 multi-topology

Note: metric-style wide should be changed for all the routers running Intermediate System Intermediate System.

>> Marcar como útil o contestado, si la respuesta resolvió la duda, esto ayuda a futuras consultas de otros miembros de la comunidad. <<

Hey thanks for the answer, I appreciate

Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. Why does generate and accept only new-style TLVs would work?

Hi

Try to include:

router isis
net 49.0006.1921.6800.6001.00
is-type level-2-only
redistribute ospf 100 level-1-2 include-connected
!
ip forward-protocol nd
!
ipv6 router ospf 100
router-id 122.0.12.1
log-adjacency-changes
redistribute isis level-1-2  include-connected

If your IS-IS domain is level 2 on the backbone it should be redistributed isis level-2 only, level-1-2 is the default level.

Thanks again,

It still doesn't work. I also tried with a default route and I analysed a ping from S13 to S6. The packet is sent but it doesnt get I reply. I'm pretty sure it's because it doesn't know where to reply since it doesn't know the what is inside the OSPFv3 domaine.

I'll edit the post to add the isis on R_Area1_R2 and the ipv6 route of the ASBR_Backbone_2

Hi

Please let me lab it in order to find the problem.
