I want know why in switch with rapid-pvst, never show state port: DISCARDING and only appear BLK

Hi Marko
It depends of your STP topology, BLK is used to avoid layer 2 loops. Probably other path is better and your port is set up as BLK to avoid loops or there is already a loop and the topology was protected including the port in blocking state.
In a stable topology with consistent port roles throughout the network, the RSTP ensures that every root port and designated port immediately transition to the forwarding state while all alternate and backup ports are always in the discarding state (equivalent to blocking in IEEE 802.1D). The port state controls the operation of the forwarding and learning processes. Table 7-3 provides a comparison of IEEE 802.1D and RSTP port states.
Regards.

Hi @Marko77
From my point of view, this is because rapid-pvst is a protocol that comes from STP.
Since some aspects of IOS have remnants from older protocols, rapid-pvst has the remnants of the original STP.
When you activate rapid-pvst it changes the operation they have spanning-tree for each port state.
Check what this guide indicates:

Buenas tardes,
¿Que versión de IOS tiene tu equipo?. Yo por mi parte creo que los outputs como "show spanning-tree" están basan basados en el antiguo STP, en cualquier caso BLK y DISS son absolutamente equivalentes.
