psuedowire-class command on 2821?

Level 1

I have tried multiple IOS for the 2821, including service provider, and advanced enterprise, and none of them have the pseudowire-class command.

I have compared the features to the ones that do have the pseudowire-class command on the 6500 series and cannot figure out what I am missing.

Is that command not supported on the 2821?

thanks!

Tim

That's odd. From my lab:

Rack1R1(config)#pseudowire-class ?

  WORD  Pseudowire-class name

Rack1R1(config)#pseudowire-class test

Rack1R1(config-pw-class)#do show ver | i 28

Edison,

Exactly. I can confirm the presence of the command on 2691 and 2811 Advanced IP Services IOSes, all in the range of 12.4T train.

This issue is curious indeed. Tim, could you post a transcript of your console session when trying to configure the pw-class?

Best regards,

Peter

Sorry guys!

I went back and asked for the info you asked for and this is what I got.

It seems he was not giving me the correct problem.

What is really missing is the Preffered path option, under the pseudowire-class command.

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the help!

He needs to specify the encapsulation to be MPLS first.

Preferred-Path is not supported under L2TPv3 as it relies on label to make its forwarding decision.

Regards,

Edison

Thanks Edison,

He says he has now tried all the images to ensure he tried them all with the enc mpls before the pseudowire command and still no preffered path option.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Tim

12.4(15)T9 ADVENTERPRISEK9 works thanks!

Now I am trying to figure out why 12.4(24)T5, 12.4(15)T13, 15.1(4)M all ADVENTERPRISEK9-MZ do not have it.

Thanks again!
