Question regarding Policy-Map Policing

Dear All,

we have the following Policy Map Config:

access-list 10 permit any

class-map ANY

match access-group 10

policy-map 50Mbps

   Class Any

      police 52428500  1000000 exceed-action drop

Question:

Will this drop any traffic exceeding 50 Mbit ?

What is the purpose of the 2nd value of 1000000 ?

Hi,

I don't know if this is a typo but the class-map referenced is not the class-map configured so here it won't do anything

otherwise yes it should police traffic exceeding the first value and drop exceeding traffic.I think second value is excess burst but I don't remember right now.
