Rack Mount Kit for Cisco ISR 4221

hi

i bought a Rack mount kit for cisco ISR 4221 but one of them is longer than other. why they are not the same.

how should I install that?

Hello,

there is the 19 inch and the 23 inch bracket, sounds like you have one of each. You need two of the same size. For the 4221, the 23 inch bracket is the only one that works for a standard rack as far as I remember.

Check Figure 3-9 of the attached document. Where did you purchase the kit ?

Why Cisco changed the internal power supply from the 1921 router to an external power supply 4221 router model?

What is the advantage here?

Very bad decision...Now we got all kinds of power supply adapters messing around in our 19" cabinet. Pity!
