RD needs to be changed, what protocol we can follow?

Hi, RD value needs to be changed in PE router(ASR12K) in MPLS, what protocol we can follow? Any links is also welcome. Thank you

Within this PE for that vrf you're setting route target export and import and you're importing that vrf routes into other vrf,....

There isn't any documentation as far as I know on how to proceed when you're changing rd. 

Why do you want to change rd?

Let's say that rd is 1:1 and you want to change to 2:2. You can leave route target export as 1:1 to manipulate the route and add a route-target export 2:2. This will allow you to modify all other routes where you're manipulating this vrd routes. 

You will need to modify this rd for all routers using that vrf. I'm not talking about other vrfs sharing routes with this vrd as they will use routes target

Hello.

If we are talking about IOS - it would be highly service disruptive. Unfortunately I'm not sure about IOS-XR (but bet it's the same).

So, the best would be to test the process (remove RD, wait for VRF to clean up, add it back) on the platform/release you are running in production.
