Dear Team,

What is the diffrence between

Mx serial (V.35) Port adapter and  Mx serial Port adapter. for both modules we can able to see in the router sh ip int brief as se1/1,1/2,1/3....... ports as convention. so is there any diffrences between these two cards.

Thanks in advance,

Naveen

Hello Naveen,

Can you provide part numbers, please? If you are speaking about PA-8T - Eight Serial Port Adapter for Cisco 7000 Family Routers - than V.35 is just one out of 3 options available for it with different ports. So the difference is in the port type:

PA-8T-232

EIA/TIA-232 interface

PA-8T-V35

V.35 interface

PA-8T-X21

X.21 interface

Check with "show inv", "show diagbus" or similar command depending on the platform which PN and HW versions those modules are of.
