Remote Alarm on T1

We have a branch router (2811) that is having trouble with the WAN circuit.  Errors are not incrementing on the interface, but I do see the remote alarm counter incrementing when I use the show service-module s0/2/0 command.  This is causing the circuit to bounce.  What exactly does the remote alarm indicate (other than an alarm at a remote location)    ? How can I use this information to help guide the LEC to repair our circuit? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Interface Serial0/2/0

Module type is T1/fractional

Hardware revision is 1.2, Software revision is 20100903,

Image checksum is 0x434803, Protocol revision is 0.1

Receiver has no alarms.

Framing is ESF, Line Code is B8ZS, Current clock source is line,

Fraction has 24 timeslots (64 Kbits/sec each), Net bandwidth is 1536 Kbits/sec.

Last module self-test (done at startup): Passed

Last clearing of alarm counters 1d07h

Remote Alarm means the remote site is telly you that it sees a problem on the circuit, like for example Loss of Signal, or Loss of Framing.

However, in most cases telco technicians do not make much use of this kind of info and just routinely follow their procedure to restore services.
