RIP with NAT

I have a customer that has a number of sites connected via a WAN. They need to have NAT running in order to get to a hosted site. They have been using authentication RIPv2 to advertise their private networks to one another.

With the introduction of NAT, we are finding that RIP no longer advertises the 'inside' networks on the 'outside' interfaces when the router is restarted. We can generally get the advertisements started by shutting down the 'inside' interface and bringing it back up again.

In IOS 12.3.9T we were able to create a static route to the inside network using the inside interface as the next hop, and redistributing static into rip. But with 12.3.14T this work-around no longer works.

Is there any way to force RIP to advertise all it's inside networks out an outside interface?

This is a known issue and there is only one workaround for this and that is to upgrade the IOS to the latest version. The IOS 12.3(14) has many other known issues and I would recommend a upgrade so that you dont have to face any other problems.
