Router 1841 don´t charge

I have a problem with a router 1841 because a student erase the cisco ios, but, don´t charge the rommon, only see symbols when i use the console cable,

The settings in the Hyper Terminal need to be set correctly; otherwise, "strange-looking" or garbage characters may show up on the screen. When you set up the connection, use these settings:

Bits per sec    :  9600 
Data bits       :     8 
Parity          :  none 
Stop bits       :     1 
Flow control    :  none

try changeing the baud rate in hyperterminal to different values (9600 default, try 115200)

i have faced similar problem when student put a  not-classic conf-reg,

Right-o.  Go back into ROMmon (by removing the CF and booting the router without the CF) and type the command "unset BAUD".  Make sure the "BAUD" is in all caps the "unset" is in lower caps (use Notepad).  Once this is done, reboot the router.  Make sure you give the student an "F" or something.    He he he ...
