We purchased a SFP module from StarTech.com part number HUBS-SFPC1110 that we are trying to use with a Cisco router model IR829 in the WAN GE0 port. When it is plugged in, the router does not seem to recognize it, but I cannot find any errors in the system information and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this problem.
Can someone please help me verify this SFP module is compatible with this router? And if it is not compatible, can anyone recommend a 10/100/1000 SFP ethernet module that is compatible?
