Hey, guys.
We purchased 4 ISR4331 Routers and requested that they be sent with DC power, but we were sent 1 CC router and 3 routers in the AC version and with the DC power supplies. Therefore, assessing the substitution of AC sources by CC sources we are faced with the following problem:
As noted in the photo "AC and DC Models" attached, the connection in the AC model is through a plug. However, what should be noted is the size of the "tear" of the carcass for this connection to be made. For DC power, the connection is made in bridges. The big problem is that the required size of the CC plate in this case is larger than the tear in the CA model.
The idea, then, is to perform an opening in the coming housing (AC model) so that the DC source fits perfectly both in respect to its fixation and in relation to the external connection for power. In the photo below is indicated the opening that is being foreseen (photo "Appropriateness Required" in annex).
The question is: By making this fit in the carcass will we lose the product warranty?
Thank you very much!

Hello Lucas,
I believe you may have problems.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/warranties/warranty-doc-c99-740959.html#_Toc81362531
"Warranties. Cisco does not provide any kind of warranty support whatsoever for Non-Genuine Products. None of Cisco's written warranties (as set forth at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/warranty-listing.html or elsewhere) applies to any Non-Genuine Products."
By the terms of the link above, you would be modifying the hardware and should one day come to have problems with it and open a case in TAC and be identified this modification I believe you may lose the warranty.
