Router Recommendations

I have a router presently that is evidently not powerful enough to meet my needs. I have about a dozen static NATs set up, each with a half dozen to a dozen port forwarding rules. With my current router, making changes to the static NAT configuration causes it to forget one of the IPs that were previously configured. I am looking for something that can handle this many static NATs, while also serving to connect maybe 3 dozen total devices (between network switches, PCs, and servers).

Preferably, I'd like something easy to set up. My current router, despite its shortcomings, is pretty easy to work with (when it works). Other routers I've tried, however, can be a pain to configure.

Any recommendations for a simple, but powerful, small business router?

Hello,

even a low end router should be able to easily handle a dozen NAT entries, as those entries require only very little memory, so I suspect the problem is somewhere else. Which model do you currently have ?

If you want a router for a small business, have a look at the new ISR 900 series routers:

I currently do not have a Cisco router - I am using a G1100 router from Verizon.

The ISR 900 series routers look pricey. Maybe I am just not familiar with the market, but are there router configurations that can work at a lower price point?

The main point to consider is the size of the WAN bandwidth.

Hello,

Cisco routers are admittedly not cheap...

But since this is a Cisco forum, it probably is not the very best place to inquire about competitor products. Either way, have a look at the article below:
