Routing & Natting

Hi,

There is a VSAT line (fe0/1) and a leased line (s0/1/0) connected to 1841 Router. The local LAN is connected at fe0/0. There is a SAP server at the HQ.

At present SAP server & internet is accessible by s0/1/0. Also, SAP server is accessible through fe0/1.

Now, when serial link goes down, SAP server is neither accessible through s0/1/0 or fe0/1. We want when serial goes down SAP should be accessible through fe0/1 as a backup.

Being in touch with APAC, they suggest that NATting does not permits failover. Its like NATting is configured to be overloaded on s0/1/0. Now, when the serial link goes down how should it do the re-NATting automatically so the data can be sent through fe0/1.

Please suggest if there seems to be any solution !!!

Thanks & Regards,

Saurabh Garg
