RV260W: Console port - Assign to lan possible?

Hi,

Have an RV260W and need one more open port for networking connections as all 8 ports on the back are all occupied. Anyhow I notice there is a console port that looks like an ethernet port and was wondering if the firmware allows that port be assigned to lan giving you 9 ports??

Hello

The console port cannot be used as an additional Ethernet port, its used only for direct management access to the device

Hi @moheban79 

As @paul driver  indicates, the console port cannot be used as an ethernet port. I think you have two options:

1 Check if a device that is already connected can be connected via Wi-Fi, as that would free up a port. 2 Get a switch to extend the available ports.

Thanks. Wifi not secure. Will install a switch I already own when time comes.
