Ive enabled port forwarding on the RV340W for L2TP 1701, ISEC-UDP-ENCAP 4500, and ISAKMP 500
External Service Internal Service Internal IP interfaces
L2TP UPD 1701 same 192.1681.10 any
IPSEC-UDP-ENCAP UPD 4500 same 192.168.1.10 any
ISAKMP UPD 500 same 192.168.1.10 any
and rebooted
When i go to canyouseeme.org - I receive an error that the service is not available. I think its pretty straight foward - but not working any suggestions?

Hello,
I assume your are trying to set the RV340 up as an L2TP server ?
The first thing I would check is if the client you are testing this from is not blocking any of the ports (e.g. Windows Firewall...)

Hey Georg,
I am actually setting up our Windows 2019 Server as the L2TP server. I am having issues with anyconnect licenseing from Cisco and trying to set this up as a temporary solution. Windows firewall is disabled and ports are not being blocked on the client end.

On what port are you trying to access that URL on, I assume its internal to your network, instead of using the fqdn have you tried accessing it via ts public(external) adddress

I am actually just trying to configure those ports on the rv340W - I am setting up our W 2019 Server as the VPN server to conenc through. I have Defender disabled on the server but am still not able to get these ports to resolve.

Hello,
how did you actually set up the L2TP server functionality (apart from the port forwarding) ? Like in the short video below ?

Hi
Try the below:
1. First delete ALL the port-forwarding rules (for ike-udp-500/isakmp/ike-udp-4500/l2tp) and do a apply/save
2. Next enable/configure "DMZ Host" under Firewall, and give the ipaddress of your internal l2tp-ipsecserver, and apply/save
3. Now from wan-side try the l2tp-ipsec tunnel connection to the internal-server, by giving the destination as the wan-ipaddress ofcourse
