Server connections across network

Hi, so I'm working on a task and I wasn't too sure if its possible to configure my servers to work across the whole of my network. I've only done the dhcp, dns, http and email servers, however only the dns and dhcp servers reach across my whole network while the http and email are limited to their subnet. Does anyone know how I can enable my servers to work across the whole network? Thanks.

Hello @damilare2000, as I can see, It sounds like your HTTP and email servers might be running into some routing or firewall issues.

First what I would do, is to check the routing between your subnets. If the servers are on different subnets, make sure that you have inter-VLAN routing or static routes configured so that traffic can flow between those subnets. Also, take a look at your firewall rules, both on the servers and on your network devices. It’s possible that there’s something restricting access to just the local subnet. and If you’re trying to access these servers from outside their subnet, you might need to set up Network Address Translation (NAT) on your router or gateway. This can help make the servers accessible using the appropriate external IPs.

Another thing is that, make sure your DNS server is correctly set up to resolve the names of these servers across the whole network. If DNS is only working within the subnet, that could explain why the HTTP and email servers aren’t reachable from other parts of the network.

I think this will help. good luck
