Hi Guys,

I have a issue with my router for service-policy. I am limiting bandwidth to 9Mbps but traffic goes above 9Mbps and ACL counters do not increase.

Tested this with another exact same  model router with same IOS and config  it works but does not work on the previous router. Both routers have same IOS and are same model

Below is version of both the routers

(c7600s72033_rp-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.1(2)S

Config are as follows

class-map match-any 9216K-Inbound
match access-group name IT-9216K-InBound
class-map match-any 9216K-Outbound
match access-group name IT-9216K-OutBound

policy-map IT-9216K-Policer-Inbound
class 9216K-Inbound
police rate 9216000 bps burst 1728000 bytes
conform-action transmit
exceed-action drop

policy-map IT-9216K-Policer-Outbound
class 9216K-Outbound
police rate 9216000 bps burst 1728000 bytes
conform-action transmit
exceed-action drop

ip access-list extended IT-9216K-InBound

Hello,

as far as I recall, 'police rate' is for control plane traffic. Try 'police':

police 9216000 1152000 1152000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop
