sh access-list x

Hi,

I have read in a cisco doc that the counter in the sh access-list command increments by 2 and it is done per packet, can anyone explain this please.

I am not sure what you read or where you read it. Perhaps you could give us the reference so that we can look at it and try to understand it. Because that is not what my experience has been. When I track counters in an access list my experience is that they increment by 1.

Perhaps there is some specific circumstance that your reference was describing. If you provide the specific reference perhaps we can explain it better.
