Hi Guys ,
I want to the details of output shown below ,
Router#sh int se0/0
Serial0/0 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is PowerQUICC Serial
Description: Connected to Leeds on 2Mb
Internet address is 177.198.91.203/30
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1984 Kbit, DLY 20000 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 4/255, rxload 24/255
Encapsulation HDLC, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
Last input 00:00:04, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 37w3d
Input queue: 4/75/453/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 7190
Queueing strategy: weighted fair
Output queue: 0/1000/64/7112 (size/max total/threshold/drops)
Conversations 0/235/256 (active/max active/max total)
Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)
Available Bandwidth 1488 kilobits/sec
5 minute input rate 189000 bits/sec, 26 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 37000 bits/sec, 21 packets/sec
486926690 packets input, 682966098 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 2260668 broadcasts, 169 runts, 1957 giants, 0 throttles
6011579 input errors, 470371 CRC, 2773444 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 276
745 abort
380017013 packets output, 2972576306 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 1878 interface resets
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
864 carrier transitions
DCD=up DSR=up DTR=up RTS=up CTS=up
I want to understand what is DCD=up DSR=up DTR=up RTS=up CTS=up
then what is DCE...........
& why input errors are there & what is the solution for input errors

DCD = Data Carrier Detect - Set by DCE to imply working link
DSR = Data Set Ready - Set by DCE to imply that the DCE is ready to signal using pins leads
DTR = Data Terminal Ready - Set by the DTE to imply that the DTE is ready to signal using pins leads
RTS = Request To Send - Set by the DTE to tell the DCE that the DTE wants to send data
CTS = Clear To Send - Set by the DCE to tell DTE that the DTE is allowed to send data.
