SNMP V3 error || SNMP authentication fails ||

Hi All,

As I have checked logs at AR2240C router, getting consistently error like -

SSMPADP/4/AUTHENTICAL_FAIL:OID 1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.5 SNMP authentication fails.

%%01SNMP/5/SNMP_LOG_IP_UNLOCK(l)[252944]:The IP address of request message was unlocked because timeout. (SourceIPType=1, SourceIP=192.168.1.1)

Can anyone explain those who are expert in routing & switching or in troubleshooting.

Router is consistently generating trap logs, please help me to resolve the issue.

Why NMS server is not able to monitor router.

Hi

  You need to check if you router is properly configured on your NMS and vice-versa. As per the logs it is not. " authentication fails"
