A genaeral question in designing a solution as above...
My preferred solution for small office connections used to be an ASA5505 front ended by an 800 series router. this was fine with 100Mb ports and WAN data rates of about 80Mbs. Obviously that solution is now out of date since the common availability of 1Gb WAN connections at reasonable prices.
Presently I have an 897 performing the above functions, but its throughput seems to max out at around 330Mbs.
What would be the preferred solution at the moment?
All the specs (ISR1100 level) I have looked at don't seem to be suggesting that the 1GB will be achievable.
Even replicating the old setup but using an ISR1100 with a Firepower1010 also looks doubtful.
Open to any suggestions...
