HI guys,
i am looking at a solution of using an usb 3G dongle together with SRP527W router to provide a failover capabilities. However, due to 3G nature, paying every MB of data, i need to be notified whenever ADSL connection fails and router switches to 3G, so users can be aware of it and use internet wisely, only for necessary tasks not wasting data on streaming music etc.
I haven't found any settings in the router to send an email or something. What would you recommend to use? What method? I was thinking about something ping based. But i don't know how much doable it is. Thank you for any suggestions.
