the problem was that HWIC-4ESW no longer pass traffic although showing that the interfaces are up
rebooting the router solved the problem.
What IOS is more stable and not subject to this problem?

Hi there,
i had no issue with S29NPEK9-15202T but i honestly would not change IOS if i were you. maybe it was just a memory leaking or something that requires a deep troubleshooting and not the IOS itself. With the new license system then, everything is more expensive and as far as i understand, you are not totally sure the IOS is the problem... however, just to answer to your question, if you want to change go for the 'M' line. they generally are more stable than the 'T' line.

now I use latest ios

and no longer this problem with HWIC-4ESW
