Hello,

What are the reasons of configuring a static route and pointing it null 0?

Can you please give me a link at Cisco website about this.

Thanks!

Here's a link:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/ip-routed-protocols/14956-route-to-null-interface.html

Some reasons for a Null 0 route:

1- To create a summary route (Used a lot in BGP and when summarizing in EIGRP)

2- To prevent routing loops in some cases

3- Quick and easy way to black hole traffic if necessary
