Switch stuck in switch: prompt

Hi can anybody help the below mentioned error. Actually I was doing ios upgradation in cisco 2950 switch. and before that I ahve delete the existing ios image from the switch and once new ios image uploaded then I reloaded, but after that switch is stuck on switch: prompt. its not booting, once i checked through:

sh dir flash: command no ios is present in the switch

so after that i have planned through xmodem to put ios image into switch but once i try I am facing the below problem

Mukesh,

You are actually giving a wrong Sytax when copying the file:

The right command would be :

switch: copy xmodem: flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-19.EA1c.bin

Once you hit enter after this command, you'll have to do the transfer procedure from the

X-modem on hyperterminal window.

You are right, actually i was using copy xmodem flash: command instead of copy xmodem: flash:

Now its working fine, thanks.
