What could be the reasons for telnet connection timeouts?
PIX firewall have 1 hour default tcp conn timeout.
What about routers? Site-to-Site VPN on routers? L3 Switches? Do they have any default configuration that can timeout telnet connection?

Hi,
The default exec timeout is 10 minutes.

I have meant not telnet to administer PIX but telnet connections that go through PIX.

All telnet sessions are configurable to your liking, I think what you are getting at perhaps is idle time time-outs, also configurable on all mentioned devices but probably needing adjustment on your pix!
