Throttles observed on Gigait interface

Dear Members,

I have a 3800 series router and recently, it continously hangs, while some sites connected on it will be working, some will not be working. I did a show interface on the router and observed some Throttles on the interface. I tried clearing counters but it did not work unless I shut down the router. this is not healthy on my production network. Please advice me on what to do.

Hello Ben,

you need to provide more details in order to get better help.

throttles are a symptom but other resources could be exaustated for example NAT.

try to trace over time

sh proc cpu | inc util

sh proc mem | inc Free

sh ip nat translations

have you configured other security features like ip inspect (CBAC) and so on

if you like you can post a filtered version of your router config removing public ip addresses and username pwds
