Hi all, I looked on the site but I can't get an answer to two questions:
- what's maximum throughput allowed by backplane on integrated GE interfaces on 2800 and 3800 series
-what's maximum 3des throughput reachable using a AIM-VPN card?
Thank you in advance and best regards

You can find 3DES througput stats for almost all routers here.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/netsol/ns340/ns394/ns171/netbr09186a00801f0a72.html
Check table 5.
To find out througput between the two interfaces of 2800 or 3800, you will have to read the Miercom report to find out the actual one. Open a web page for Cisco.com and search with keyword
"Miercom report 2800" (specifically 2811, 2851)
"Miercom report 3800" (specifically 3845)

Best to contact Cisco sales rep, or Cisco Sales directally, and ask them. They should put you in touch with a Cisco internal engineer, who should be able to provide you with all the specific data you need.

Interesting question, currently I'm experiencing bad performance values with 2821 and I'm investigating into this issue as Miercom states 130mbit throughput (for a specific testcase) in their reports and I can hardly go beyond 20mbit unencrypted traffic routet from gig0/0 to gig0/1.
