Transparent bridging in RV320

Hi there,

I have an internet connection through VDSL (Fritzbox, dynamic public IP address, NAT) with 192.168.2.0 / 24 configured as internal network.

I am trying to configure an RV320 as a bridge (put between the fritzox and the internal LAN) to benefit from its firewall capabilities.

The plan is to connect its WAN1 to the router's ethernet interface and the local network's switch to the cisco's Eth1 port.

So far, I tried both as Gateway and Router (advanced routing) with WAN1 defined as a transparent bridge but I fail to bridge traffic from Eth1 to WAN1.

Can one help please? All suggestions appreciated.

Attached a drawing.

kind regards

A. Kyriazis

Solved:

Impossible to make the router work, either as a bridge or as a router.

It goes back to supplier and I will start market research for a non-Cisco device.
