Troubleshooting WAN (FastE) interface "input errors"

I'm having trouble convincing my ISP that I'm having problems. I have a Cisco 1811 router with two WAN interfaces connected up to two different ISPs. One ISP connection (on my FastEthernet1 interface) is having no problems...and I'm seeing no errors on that interface. I'm having "slowness" problems on my other ISP ...here's a show int:

#show int faste0

FastEthernet0 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is PQ3_TSEC, address is 001f.6c8f.8c3e (bia 001f.6c8f.8c3e)

Description: XXXX WAN Internet Internet address is x.x.x.x/29

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set

Keepalive set (10 sec)

Full-duplex, 10Mb/s, 100BaseTX/FX

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

Last input 00:00:23, output 00:00:05, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters 1d11h

Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

Queueing strategy: fifo

Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

54569 packets input, 60095887 bytes

Received 6406 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

3644 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored

0 watchdog

0 input packets with dribble condition detected

50499 packets output, 12836792 bytes, 0 underruns

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets

0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred

0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

I've done everything *I* can do, I've swapped patch cables between the router and the ISP's media converter, I've swapped the ISPs between FastE0 and FastE1 (the input errors follow the "bad" ISP's connection)

I've changed speeds & duplex...that didn't fix it either... I'm still getting "input errors"

Is there anything I can do to find out more about these "input errors"... note that the CRC, frame, overrun, etc. counters don't go up at all... just these "input errors"

Any thoughts? (the ISP denies any problems)

I know this sounds like a non-answer, but its time to escalate through your management and get the teclo to look at the circuit.
