ttcp between routers

I have 2 3845s with nm-1t3 connecting to a cross country DS3. I'm only seeing approx 1000kB/s on the link from a single tcp session (linux host connected to a Gig int on the 3845). If I run 6 session simultaneously, I can get full bandwidth out of the DS3.

The telco provider doesn't like this test and is asking me to test directly between the routers.

Can I run ttcp (receive) on one 3845 and then use ttc pto transmit from the other 3845?

I tried running the commands as above, but nothing seemed to happened, I waited approx 15 minutes.

Also is there a way to interrupt a ttcp session? running

TTCP requires Cisco IOS. Software Version 11.2 or higher and Feature Sets IP Plus (is- images) or Service Provider (p- images).

Note: The ttcp command is a hidden, unsupported, privileged mode command. As such, its availability may vary from one Cisco IOS software release to another, such that it might not exist in some releases. Some platforms, for instance, require the Cisco IOS Enterprise feature set in order to perform this activity.

If the IOS supports the ttcp command then for further information look at the followign url:
