unable to see full output of show run command with privilege 7 in cisco 3400 series switch

Hi,

After configuring user XXX with priviledge 7, User XXX is unable to see full output of show running-config but able to see show startup-config.

Not sure where is the issue.

If any one can guide me.

Hi,

This is normal behavior,  a user with a custom privilege level will only see in the show run the outputs of what he is permitted to configure  at his privilege level.

Questions like this come up from time to time, so it is not an uncommon issue. I agree that Alain has given exactly the correct answer - this is normal and expected behavior for privilege level 7.

I resolved this issue by applying following command.

privilege exec level 7 show running-config view full
