In the following example:
R1#show arp
Protocol Address Age (min) Hardware Addr Type Interface
Internet 10.0.0.1 - 0000.1111.1111 ARPA FastEthernet0/0
Internet 10.0.0.2 0 0000.2222.2222 ARPA FastEthernet0/0
What is the meaning of the "-" under the Age Entry for IP Address 10.0.0.1? I assume that indicates the configured IP Address for Fa0/0 whereas the line for IP Address 10.0.0.2 indicates an ARP Entry for a remote device. Trying to get a thorough understanding of how ARP works.

Correct, the router will not have a timer associated with a directly connected interface because it never needs to age it out whereas it will with any remote devices.

I haven't been able to find any documentation explicitly stating such. Thank you very much for your assistance!
