I have the following setup working successfully:
A, B, C & D represent the IP addresses of the various interfaces.
I have successfully configured the cisco router to update dyndns, however it is pushing address C (private IP). How do I get it to push address A (public IP)?
Can the cisco router pull the public address (A) from http://checkip.dyndns.com/ or a similar service and use that to update DynDNS?
Is there another approach I should be taking?
thanks

Hi,
I don't think cisco router will be able to update dyndns with the public address. Your best option is to run the dynamic dns client on a PC on the internal network if the ISP modem is not capable.
Thanks

Your "ISP modem" is running as a router. If you can convert it to modem-mode, you have the public IP on the router and the router can update the IP successfully.
