Upgrading IOS for 7206 router

Hi,

I need to upgrade the IOS for 7206 router through rom monitor mode b'cause i'm not able to login to normal mode. Pls help me.

What do you mean that you are not able to break into normal mode? What prompt do you see on the router.Did you try breaking into rommon ?

Try reloading the router if you could and press CTRL+Break

Let us know more input on this.

Hi,

Now i have version 12.2 but i'm upgrading to 12.4. What is the command for assigning 12.2 as the IOS and do i need to copy 12.4 to bootflash or disk0. Pls help me

Hi uday,

1.The exact problem is not clear from ur end.weather IOS corrept or any config missing whcih cause the ROMMON mode?

2.For upgrading to another version it's realy not required to be in ROMMON mode.
