It is possible to set both the upload and download bandwidth of an interface?

are you trying to limit or restrict the b/w on a interface which is getting connected to a client site (from the hub or central location) ? or how do u want to set the bandwidth and for what purpose you want them be set on the interface ?

if you want to restrict or limit both the uplink and downlink bandwidth do find the link which may be helpful to u..

i have an adsl line that i want to set up the bandwidth for. i currently set the bandwidth of the interface to the higher of the two speed (download) to monitor the load on the interface. I would like to have the load represent that actual percentage.
