User Acceptence Testing for Enterprise Network

Dear Team,

Currently, I am doing the User Acceptance Testing for the Enterprise Network which includes

ASR 1000 Series, ASR 9000 Series, Nexus 7700 Series, Catalyst 4500 Switches.

I am doing this testing for the first time.

If any body has experience on this, Please share with me the important testing and template should I have to complete as part of UAT.

I don't think you will get a doc for this. The procedure varies for each company. Cisco guidelines are as follow:

- Device tests (hardware/software inventory, power, syslog error checking)
- Circuit tests (throughput, delay, jitter, errors)
- Routing tests (adjacencies, routing table consistency)
- Traffic tests (end-to-end traffic testing)
- Network service tests (multicast, QoS, WAN acceleration)
- Application tests
- Management/NMS/security tests

Hello Wai Yan,

it depends on what sort of UAT. Are you benchmarking this devices against each other to see whats best? or just a normal UAT?

But the below might be helpful:

• Stress testing: you can use some free softwares like Jperf. 
• QOS: which will be inline with stress testing.
• BUGS lookup base on IOS.

1. DHCP Release Test
2. DHCP Server Failover Test
3. Nexus Switch Failure Test (reload)
4. End to End Connectivity Test
5. Traffic Flow Test
6. Traffic Load balancing Test
7. Local Bandwidth Throughput Test (Stress Test)
8. BUGS Lookup
