Hi,
Our server guys want to extend a single /24 subnet between two geographically disparate sites. We have all kinds of infrstracutre between the two sites, including firewalls, WAN links, etc. Would L2TP be a good solution for this? My understanding is that L2TP allows you to tunnel a single L2 segment across a WAN, so that the devices on the segment appear to each other as if they're on the same LAN segment, even if they're thousands of miles from each other.
Without going into too much detail, does this sound like a good scenario to use L2TP?
Thanks.
