Verification of the Serial port-urgent

Hai friends,

I am having a router with WIC-2T card and having the connection with a v.35 cable.how i can check the port is working fine.Any support documents for the procedure for testing that port.

sh int serx/y

check if it is up/up

at the end of show see the state of leads DCD and so on

more information is provided by

sh controller serx/y where you can check if it is receiving the clock, the V.35 cable type detected (DTE or DCE) and other info
