I have a 7206X hosting a few vlans to different customers, the 7206X is connecting to a 7609 via another Vlan. I need to migrate all the Vlans from 7206X to the 7609 in order to decommission the 7206X.
Not sure how to start and what steps to keep in mind so as to have a smooth transfer with less outrage. Could anyone help?

It is hard to help without getting more details about your network topology. can you provide more details
also, are these vlans local to the old device? or there are other switches connected to it where all the hots are located?

Vlans themselves? Or SVI's? Vlans is quite easy, VTP will help with that. SVI's well i would copy out the current config and go over it line by line and see what commands are valid and which ones are phased out.
