Hi,
in Enterprise environment, where are the advantages/disadvantages of using a Core layer MPLS based with VRF (MPLS VPN) instead of using a Core layer IP based with Multi-VRF ?
I've seen that Cisco as guidelines use MPLS with VRF also in enterprise...but after having some experience with multi-VRF it seems to me that MPLS VPN are more SP oriented than enterprise...moreover having the complete enterprise net IP based is more easier to administer...

Multi-VRF doesn't scale as well as all the VRFs will have to be configured on all core routers, which is not the case with MPLS VPN. But if you only have a couple of VRFs, multi-VRF might be fine.
Hope this helps,

Hi Harold,
Thanks a lot for the info...
Is there a Cisco technical paper which compare the pro and cons of both VRF solution ?
