I have two Cisco 6500 switch in VSS mode in distribution layer and 2 in core layer. My question is how would I know which physical switch is switch 1 and which one is switch 2? If one switch is in standby mode, does this switch intertain any frames coming from/to access layer switch or packets coming from/to core layer.?
