HI All,
I need to configure internet redundancy and need to be integrated with HSRP of my network. I am using 4331 ISR routers. The problem is I am using ipbase license only on these routers. so I need to find an alternative way for internet failover without using IP SLA. Can anybody suggest a solution, if possible it will be grateful to me.
I am also attaching my sample network diagram too.

Hello,
are you running eBGP with your ISPs (and iBGP between the ISRs) ?

No. I am just using static routes to ISPs.

Hello,
if you use HSRP in an active/standby configuration, failover would be automatic, since only one router is active. A default route on each router pointing to your ISP would be sufficient.
Is this not working ?

Hello,
But if internet link is down, how router recognize wan link is down or not? It only recognizes if the connected interface link is down or not. I need to switch to active/standby mode by monitor wan link (internet) fails.
