Wan Performance Problems between Cisco against FiberNet Dusac_350

We recently change our LAN infraestructure to WAN. We Are having some problem on the data transfer and also de applications has terrible time performance. We change from 10 min to 40 minutes in some applications. We have a PPP connection between CPD using the FiberNet Dusac_350 equipment and the two core equipment Side A WS-C4750R-E version 12.2 and the SIDE B WS-C3850 ver 3.07.05E.

We have a portchannel using to 10GB links againt both core equipments.

TenGigabitEthernet3/1/4 is up, line protocol is up (connected)

Hardware is Ten Gigabit Ethernet, address is

Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)

5 minute output rate 8064000 bits/sec, 1843 packets/sec

0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier, 0 pause output
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

same for all the interfaces attached. Can we have to change the MTU for this type of connection? Or the problem can be related for the incompability between the Gbics againt the Dusac?

We are very lost in this problem because any body find out a reason to think somehting is wrong or bas configured.

Thanks

Often a degradation of performance, when moving from LAN to WAN, even if bandwidths remain the same, is often due to the additional distance based latency.

Thanks for the reply,

The LAN to WAN was 2Gb to 10GB and the transfer rate do no increase up to 10Mb. The communication doesnt seem working correctly. We know the increment on the latency but the performance is very bad for a PPP circuito 10GB.

Thanks

Hello Joseph,

The LAN to WAN was 2Gb increase to10GB and the transfer rate maintain the 10Mb. The communication doesnt seem working correctly. We know the increment on the latency but the performance is very bad for a PPP circuit 10GB. We start thinkg that it can be a compatibility problem between ppp equipment and our electronic.

Thanks

Even TCP's bulk transfer rates are often impacted by additional WAN latency. First a TCP host's RWIN needs to allow for the path's BDP (bandwidth delay product). Second, any packet lost recovery is slowed by additional RTT latency. (Search out LFN [long fat networks] issues for more info.)

Hello,

post the configs of both ends. Which device(s) do(es) the PPP ?

We have a port channel with two interface betwen sites. The PPP is do it throu ISP Telefonica using level one equipment. Fibrenet Dusac_350 equipments.

Hello,

what I meant was the full output of 'sh run' of both switches. Can you post that ?

Hi Georg,

Its too big th config and also there are sensitive data on that config. Tell me which part are you want to review. All the other areas works fine are only the inter CPD connection the 10GB part.

Thanks in advance.
