WANs - Leased Lines vs Circuit Networks

I am getting confused with the differences between Leased Lines and Circuit-Switched networks.  In our CCNA studies, the Connecting Networks book indicates that the two are different from each other as seen in the published diagram:

It seems to me that a leased line is a circuit switched private WAN as well.  They both have dedicated resources to transfer data, they do not break data into packets nor are packet-switched, both provide end-to-end connections.

I would appreciate some guidance and distinction between the two WAN types.

Thanks,

Ward
