Amar,
Please elaborate. You want to know what new models and features are coming or do you want to know what technology Cisco is betting on for the future?

HI Leo, as an engineer i want to learn new technology in networking field and that should keep me in demand. In India, we have more Cisco R&S & security engineer then demand but not much in DC/cloud/wireless. I am exploring networking field which will have more demand in future and hopfully cisco would leader.. :-) does Cisco DC includes most of cloud solution or in future cisco is going to have a new CCIE exam for cloud only.. Any indication.. :-)
Thanks
Amar

Hi Amar,
As you were stating there are many fields to work on and each of them has its own cutting-edge technology. The new ASA for security as the NX-OS and the new MDS for data centres or the IOS XR machines for SP environments .. If your question was meant to ask :"where should I address my studies" I would then try to say on the DC environment and on security appliances. Having said this, the biggest reality still remains R&S environments. It is in fact endless the number of enterprises looking for excellence in routing and switching solutions.
Hope this helps

Thanks Alessio,
I have mostely worked on cisco Security(ASA, FWSM,IPS, ACS,VPN) but in current company working mostely on R&S and some security projects which includes ASA & VPN. i haven't got many chance to work on other vendor security devices, I noticed cisco having tuff competitor in Security field as whereever i apply for security jobs they ask experiance on other vendor security devices in addition to cisco ASA/fwsm etc, so its difficult getting in complete Security domain. In current company we have almost all the Major cisco devices and luckly have access to most of cisco devices so i am looking to master other cisco fields which would have good demand in future. i guess DC/Collaboration/cloud/Wireless any thought..!!
